Shipping policy

Shipping Policy – Export Thrift

At Export Thrift, we aim to process and dispatch orders as efficiently as possible while keeping our products affordable for customers.

Because we deal in limited and frequently changing thrift / pre-owned stock, certain orders may require additional processing or stock verification before dispatch.

Please read the following Shipping Policy carefully before placing an order.

1. Order Processing

Orders are processed after successful order placement and, where required, customer verification.

Before dispatch, Export Thrift may verify:

  • Customer name

  • Contact number

  • Delivery address

  • City

  • Product availability

  • Available size

  • Available colour

  • Any other information reasonably required for fulfilment

Order processing may take additional time where stock availability or customer information needs to be confirmed.

2. Stock Verification Before Dispatch

Because Export Thrift deals in limited and mixed thrift inventory, stock availability may change quickly.

A product, size or colour displayed on the website may not always remain available until the order is packed.

Where the customer's preferred colour or size is unavailable, the order may be fulfilled using an available alternative colour and/or size, in accordance with our Terms of Service and Refund, Return & Replacement Policy.

Customers who are unwilling to accept stock-based substitutions should not place an order where such substitutions are disclosed.

3. Delivery Time

Estimated delivery times are provided for general guidance only.

Delivery time may vary depending on:

  • Customer location

  • Courier service

  • Public holidays

  • Weather conditions

  • Remote or difficult-to-access locations

  • Operational delays

  • Stock verification

  • Incorrect or incomplete customer information

  • Other circumstances outside the reasonable control of Export Thrift

Export Thrift does not guarantee an exact delivery date unless specifically confirmed in writing.

4. Dispatch Confirmation

Where available, customers may receive order confirmation or dispatch information by:

  • SMS

  • Telephone

  • WhatsApp

  • Email

  • Courier tracking notification

  • Other communication methods used by Export Thrift

Failure to receive a notification does not necessarily mean that an order has not been processed or dispatched.

5. Cash on Delivery

Where Cash on Delivery (COD) is available, customers are required to:

  • Provide accurate contact information.

  • Provide a complete delivery address.

  • Keep their phone number reachable.

  • Cooperate with the courier company.

  • Accept the parcel when delivery is attempted.

  • Pay the applicable amount at the time of delivery.

Export Thrift may verify Cash on Delivery orders before dispatch.

6. Shipping Charges

Any applicable shipping charges will be displayed, communicated or included as part of the order at the time of purchase.

Shipping charges may vary depending on:

  • Delivery location

  • Courier charges

  • Order value

  • Promotional offers

  • Other shipping-related factors

Where free shipping is offered, it applies only according to the terms of the relevant offer.

Export Thrift reserves the right to change shipping charges or promotional shipping offers for future orders.

7. Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information.

Export Thrift will not be responsible for delays, failed deliveries or returned parcels caused by:

  • Incorrect address

  • Incomplete address

  • Incorrect phone number

  • Unreachable customer

  • Incorrect city

  • Missing delivery details

  • Customer-provided information errors

If a parcel must be resent because of incorrect or incomplete customer information, additional delivery charges may apply.

8. Courier Delays

Once an order has been handed over to the courier company, delivery may be affected by circumstances outside the direct control of Export Thrift.

These may include:

  • Courier network delays

  • Weather conditions

  • Public holidays

  • Operational disruptions

  • Road closures

  • Remote delivery areas

  • High-volume sale periods

  • Other logistical issues

Export Thrift will make reasonable efforts to assist customers where possible but cannot guarantee courier delivery times.

9. Delivery Attempts

Courier companies may make one or more delivery attempts depending on their own procedures.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Remaining reasonably available for delivery.

  • Answering courier calls where necessary.

  • Providing delivery instructions when requested.

  • Accepting the parcel within the courier's delivery attempts.

If the customer repeatedly fails to receive the order, the parcel may be returned to Export Thrift.

10. Refused or Unaccepted Parcels

Customers are expected to accept orders that they have placed and confirmed.

If a customer:

  • Refuses a confirmed Cash on Delivery order,

  • Repeatedly fails to receive the parcel,

  • Provides incorrect information,

  • Deliberately avoids delivery,

Export Thrift may, where reasonably necessary:

  • Refuse future Cash on Delivery orders.

  • Require advance payment for future orders.

  • Cancel future orders.

  • Apply additional shipping charges where a parcel must be resent.

11. Returned-to-Sender Parcels

If a parcel is returned to Export Thrift by the courier because of:

  • Customer refusal

  • Unreachable customer

  • Incorrect delivery information

  • Failed delivery attempts

  • Other customer-related delivery issues

Export Thrift may require the customer to pay any applicable re-delivery or advance shipping charges before the order is sent again.

Re-dispatch remains subject to stock availability.

12. Delivery Inspection

Customers should check the external condition of the parcel at the time of delivery where reasonably possible.

If there is visible serious damage to the outer parcel, customers should raise the issue with the courier at the time of delivery and contact Export Thrift with relevant order details.

The condition of the actual product remains subject to the disclosures applicable to thrift / pre-owned merchandise.

13. Thrift Product Variations

Receiving an order that differs in colour, shade, size, brand or other reasonable thrift characteristics does not automatically mean that the wrong order was shipped.

Export Thrift operates using limited and changing thrift stock.

Where disclosed before purchase, an alternative available colour and/or size may be dispatched according to stock availability.

Such substitutions are governed by our:

  • Terms of Service

  • Refund, Return & Replacement Policy

  • Product-specific disclosures

14. Delayed Orders

If an order is delayed, customers may contact Export Thrift with their order details.

Where tracking information is available, we may assist the customer in checking the shipment status with the courier.

However, delivery delays caused by courier companies or other external circumstances do not automatically qualify an order for cancellation, refund or replacement once the order has entered the shipping process, subject to applicable law.

15. Order Cancellation After Dispatch

Once an order has been:

  • Packed,

  • Handed over to the courier, or

  • Entered the shipping process,

it may no longer be eligible for cancellation.

Customers should request cancellation as early as possible before dispatch.

16. Remote Areas

Delivery to certain remote or less accessible locations may:

  • Take longer than standard delivery.

  • Require additional courier processing.

  • Have limited courier coverage.

  • Require collection from a nearby courier facility in some cases.

Delivery availability is subject to courier network coverage.

17. Shipping During Sales and Promotions

During major sales, promotional campaigns or periods of unusually high order volume, processing and delivery times may be longer than usual.

Customers are requested to allow reasonable additional time during such periods.

18. Customer Responsibility

Before placing an order, customers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Their contact number is correct.

  • Their delivery address is complete.

  • Their city is correctly entered.

  • They understand the thrift / pre-owned nature of the products.

  • They understand that selected colours and sizes may be subject to availability.

  • They are willing to accept the parcel when delivery is attempted.

19. Shipping Policy Acceptance

By placing an order with Export Thrift, the customer acknowledges and accepts that:

  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary.

  • Orders remain subject to stock availability.

  • Preferred sizes and colours may not always be available.

  • Alternative available sizes and/or colours may be dispatched where disclosed.

  • Courier delays may occur outside Export Thrift's control.

  • Customers must provide accurate delivery information.

  • Customers are expected to cooperate with courier delivery attempts.

  • Repeated refusal or non-acceptance of orders may affect future Cash on Delivery availability.

This Shipping Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Refund, Return & Replacement Policy.

By completing an order, the customer confirms acceptance of these shipping terms.
